For example, just 30 minutes of exercise on a treill is enough to lift the spirits of people who suffer from a serious depressive disorder. And according to a study published in the Journal of the American College of Sports Medicine, this effect is observed even after a quiet walk.

3. Exercise improves knee health

There are many myths surrounding the effects of aerobic exercise on knees and ts. One of them is that running causes knee problems. It is indeed possible, but more often than not, knee pain is caused by excessive exertion or improper technique. If these factors are excluded, jogging, on the contrary, reduces the likelihood of knee osteoarthritis.

4. Movement reduces stress levels

One of the main benefits of exercise is its effect on stress levels and maintaining emotional balance.

The fact is that exercising is controlled by the motor (motor) cortex. During exercise, this area is actively engaged and requires energy for the whole brain. Therefore, the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for our emotional response to stress, simply lacks resources and cannot maintain a state of stress. This makes us feel calmer and more confident while exercising.

It is important to that it is better to choose short-term activities, such as light aerobic workouts, to combat stress, while high-intensity activities will have the opposite effect.
